This podcast explores the issue of online cruelty content, with a big focus on the exploitation of primates such as macaques. Discussing the depiction of primates as pets, their use as entertainers and the extreme abuse they can suffer. 

APRIL 26, 2023 - In Tune to Nature podcast: Removing Harmful Wild Animal Social Media Posts

From taking selfies with wild animal individuals, to promoting them as pets, to faking animal rescues for clicks, content harmful to animals abounds on social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. To help you identify what is inappropriate, harmful, or cruel content and what to do about it, SMACC is interviewed on this radio and podcast show.

MARCH 9, 2023 - Animal Justice Academy: Help Get Animal Cruelty Content Off Social Media

As a guest on the Animal Justice Academy Lunchtime Live, we cover the fundamentals of cruelty content, how to spot cruelty content, SMACC's five steps for dealing with this content when you find it, tips around reporting, and the importance of educating your communities in this area. A SMACC volunteer also shares their experiences.
